CHART INDUSTRIES INTRODUCES NEW HALT/HASS TEST CHAMBER

CLEVELAND, OHIO – June 13, 2007 – Chart Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: GTLS) Distribution and Storage Group (“Chart D&S”) announces the release of its REAL-96 accelerated reliability test chamber. This chamber represents the latest innovation of Chart’s highly successful "REAL" product line.

Customers all over the world depend on Chart's chambers to conduct Highly Accelerated Life Testing and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening tests (HALT and HASS), in which products are subjected to factors such as extreme temperatures, rapid thermal transitions, and vibration. Chart's line of HALT/HASS chambers allows its customers to improve product quality, shorten time to market and reduce warranty costs. The REAL-96 product is Chart’s largest HALT/HASS chamber enabling customers to find potential failure modes in larger products, such as large flat panel displays and communication routers.

In keeping with the REAL product family, the REAL-96 utilizes the highly praised CTI II color touch-screen interface with PLC based controller for reliable, flexible and user-friendly control of the HALT chamber. It also comes standard with Chart’s exclusive Vacuum Insulated Liquid Nitrogen Control Valves. This feature was designed for frost free nitrogen delivery which eliminates dripping water, safety concerns, and improved performance. It also ensures maximum efficiency of liquid nitrogen delivery and cooling rates exceeding 50°C per minute on Product Under Test.
