Auto Mode Help Page

This screen is used to set-up starting a profile that has been created and saved in memory.  In addition to selecting the profile to run, the start mode and test alarm limits are defined.  When all information has been defined, the profile can be started.

In addition to the standard menu bar at the bottom of the screen, the following touch keys are available:

Select a Profile - Touching the box to the right of the SELECT A PROFILE text will allow opening a pre-defined profile from memory.  A list of all saved profiles will appear.  Select the profile by touching its name.

Current Profile - This box displays the name of the currently running profile.  This box will be empty until the selected profile is actually started.

Control The - Touching this box will allow selecting whether the controller uses the PART TEMPERATURE thermocouple control signal or the AIR TEMPERATURE thermocouple (located in the plenum) as the control signal.

Select a Start Mode - Touching the box to the right of the SELECT A START MODE text will give a multiple choice box.  The start modes available are:

On Command – This start mode will start the profile as soon as the START button is touched.

Delay Start – This start mode will start the profile after a specified time delay.

@ Specified Time – This start mode will start the profile at a specified time and day (Thursday, April 4, 10:00:00 am for example).

Remote Start – This start mode will start the profile based on a remote signal that comes to the PLC controller on digital input #X.

Enter Delay Time – These three fields only need to be entered if DELAY START is selected as the start mode.  Enter the data by touching each box under the HRS, MIN, and SEC labels.  This will bring up keypads to enter the data.  If DELAY START is not selected, the header test will disappear.  The data entry boxes will be visible; however, the PLC will force these entries to zero if DELAY START is not selected.

Enter Specified Time – These fields only need to be entered if @ SPECIFIED TIME is selected as the start mode.  Enter the data by touching each box under the MO, DAY, HR, MIN, and SEC fields. This will bring up keypads to enter the data.  If  @ SPECIFIED TIME is not selected, the header test will disappear.  The data entry boxes will be visible; however, the PLC will force these entries to zero if @ SPECIFIED TIME is not selected.

Profile Alarm Limits – Each of these limits are changed by touching the box next to the label.  These levels can be changed each time a profile is run.  After each of the limits are defined, the ALARM ACTION can be defined by touching the box on the same row as the proper label.  Touching this box will bring up a multiple choice box with SHUTDOWN CHAMBER, GO TO 20 DEG C, DO NOTHING, and DISABLE OUTPUT as selections.

Start – Touching this button will start the profile if ON COMMAND was chosen as the start mode.  If DELAY START was chosen as the start mode, then touching the START button will start the timer.  When the timer count reaches zero, the profile will start.  If @ SPECIFIED TIME was chosen as the start mode, the controller will start watching for the specified day/time and then start the profile.  If REMOTE START was chosen as the start mode, the controller will watch for the remote signal and start the profile at that time.

Views – Touching this button will bring up the first of three different screens used to watch the chamber while running a profile.  The first screen is a large trend chart, the second screen is a small trend chart and digital values, the last screen is large digital values.

Stop Profile – To immediately stop a profile and shut down the chamber’s outputs, touch the STOP PROFILE button.
